You can use any brand of conventional, synthetic blend, high mileage, or full synthetic motor oil safely with the HUBB filter.
The HUBB filter out performs any anti-drainback valve. HUBB filters get full oil flow to the engine faster than the small amount of oil captured in the drainback valve.
The anti-drainback valve was developed because the conventional/paper oil filters were not created to manage today’s high technology engines. 80-year old technology traps oil in the paper media which helps effects the oil flow to the engine. Since the HUBB filter’s media is made from stainless steel, there is no reason an anti-drainback valve.
